Powerful words to fuel the artists

Andy just knocks it out of the park with his interviews and personal talks. The episode on successful side projects was powerful ! Great inspiration and useful advice for anyone in a creative career. He continues to inspire me weekly with his talks and challenges! I would gladly buy Andy several pizzas!

Motivational

I think Andy always has something inspiring to say, in the way that I've never heard an episodes without writing the core part down in my notebook! Not because he doesn't speak memorable, because he does! But just because I don't want to forget what he made me realise or how I should be looking at this specific issue. It's all great advise he gives and entertaining at the same time, and it's keeps me going the right way, so maybe it will do that for you too?! Give it a listen X

Love this!!

If you're someone in the creative field (illustration, music, design, visual art, writing, etc) there are all kinds of challenges that come up that are distinct to these fields. Andy's enthusiasm, insight, passion, and understanding of our challenges make this a podcast worth regular listening. After several episodes I walked away having a better understanding of the person that I am, because let's face it, creative people often walk to a different beat and traditional advice usually doesn't apply. Love, love, love him!!

This podcast changed my life!

I am so grateful to have come across this podcast via a Reddit recommendation. This podcast is so much more that creative insight, it is a raw and open hearted discussion about life. This podcast is for any and every person. Andy provides some of the most insightful and beautifully epic talks that I have ever heard in my many years of listening to podcasts. This podcast has given me the fuel I need to not only take on any creative challenge, but also any obstacle in life as well. I can't thank the creative pep talk team enough - this is a truly special team of people. Thank you, please don't ever stop!

Best Podcast for people that search creative inputs!

I'm working as a film producer and I've got a lot of creative inputs from this podcast. Andy J. Miller is a great host and I can consider this podcast to all the creative out there in whatever niche they are! Enjoy it!

Invaluable.

Andy is such a free spirit, filled with energy ND life and his podcast is no different, I found it by chance and I'll be honest I wasn't too keen on his southern accent at first but it grows on you, plus you just can't miss this content. Whether you're an artist or an entrepreneur or both, you need this podcast in your life. Thanks Andy.

as a graphic designer who loves looking inside yourself and knowing who you are and learning about yourself, this is perfect. i love andy's energy, it inspires me and feels like i'm just sitting down talking to one of my friends about creativity. it's so great. thanks for this andy! also, just heard you say you would have to say Papa Johns is your fave crappy pizza, and we are on the same page! so. props to andy. and his discussion of my little pony ❤️👍🏼

What you never learned in art school

Inspiring, Authentic

So far I've only listened to a couple episodes of the Creative Destiny series and I'm so grateful to have found them. I'm trying to establish a daily practice as a writer, but I feel like I have so many blockages which I can't quite pinpoint. Andy is so enthusiastic, uses fun and effective metaphors, and shares what sounds like personal wisdom that really come from a place of caring. While I understand how this may not be for everyone, I don't really understand why someone would bash the very personal work of someone else. Andy, thank you for opening up and sharing with us!

Creative Hope in Each Episode

I recently lost my job and this podcast has kept me going. Not only does hearing about Andy's journey give me hope for my own, but his podcast is full of so many general gems of wisdom. As any good teacher is, Andy is full of a multitude of reference points and is a testiment to designers as intellectuals! I have listened to his interview with Debbie Millman maybe 30 times and honestly it has brought me to tears. If you are a creative person, especially at the beginning of your career like me, this podcast will provide a beacon of hope in all of those rejection letters, ignored Instagram posts, and sleepless nights of wondering how you will pay your rent. Andy is weird, fun, and honest. Thank you for making this podcast, thank you for sharing the tips you have learned along your journey, and thank you for making empowerment fun!

Can't Get Enough!

I look forward to new episodes coming up every week. Andy is a force of positivity whose warmth and humor have helped get me through some serious dark tea-times of the soul. I want to do whatever I can to support this podcast because it is a true gem. Andy will break down for you what it takes to thrive as a creative, often through hilarious extended metaphors. You can tell he cares so deeply about lifting up creatives who are struggling. It's also very well-produced, with beautiful music and Andy's own illustrations accompanying each episode. If you're an artist or creative who wants a cheerleader hanging out in the studio while you work, this podcast is for you :)

Inspiring & Helpful

This podcast has been helpful in encouraging and assisting me as I am developing my creative career. As someone who is about to exit University it has been a great source of knowledge as well as providing affirmative advice. It is great to have on while creating to keep you motivated and inspired!

Love Dr. Pizza and Creative Pep Talk

I don't know is using Intimate to call a podcast appropriate. But it's the exact word to describe what Creative Pep Talk makes me feel. I haven't actually started my creative work, and my major is not art, there are few people around me would like to discuss my thoughts or understand my feelings. And it bothered me, even now, cause it makes me feel lonely... Then there's Andy's show. Even though across the Pacific, even though only a one-way communication, I felt like that someone knew me! Imagine how thrilled I was.. And Andy is so sincere! He shared his knowledge, his experiences, without reservation. What I learned from it helped me a lot. I really really appreciate Andy and his creative pep talks! I just want to say, Thank You! xx

I've only listened to about four of these podcasts, but so far I love it! Andy gets down into topics in unique ways, unearthing new gems never seen before. He has a genuinely interesting perspective on life, the universe, and everything. Thankful for the clean lyrics as well!

The ultimate creative push

Andy's got a magic with words and enthusiasm that just seem to come in the right way at the right time. I just started listening to Andy's podcast this year after hearing him speak to the CSCA, and his podcast keeps me going and encouraged - I've been stuggling as I've launched a podcast called People Helping People, feeling overwhelemed with all I have to learn, and the Creative Pep Talk keeps putting things in perspective so I understand my own creative path of discovery and developing my skills. Andy Speaks to Me

It's like listening to my future self telling me all the stuff I need to know to get where I want to be in 5 years. This guy goes to the core of how to find fulfillment in your creative work - not just making money or being successful but finding your true calling as an artist. He references stuff that I really connect with both psychological and philosophic like Carl Jung and fun and pop-cultury like Moana. Andy's speaking style is so friendly and fun that I just love listening to him too. Keep it up Andy!

Stop Clinging and Just Rest

There is at least one golden nugget that I collect with each episode of Creative Pep Talk. The latest is from episode 139 - The Key to Making Authentic Work - that might be the largest yet...that when you start creating from who you really are instead of clinging to who you think you should be, there is peace. Calm. Rest. This episode is a huge encouragement to me to keep going in the way I'm going. I've spent plenty of time clinging in the past but am beginning to experience that creative calm Andy talks about. It's a beautiful place to be. Andy - thanks so much for sharing your insights with the world. You are making a difference.

(Pizza) Miller, is quirky, humorous and relatable. His pep talks are both (strangely) confronting and reassuring, acting as a waypoint in any creative journey. Creative Pep Talk has something for everyone; be it that much needed dose of bravery, a gps in a winding industry, a front runner to chase, or just a fellow creative to relate to. It is in my humble opinion that Creative Pep Talk well and truly deserves your time, attention and a 5 star rating (you'll get more than you give).
