Game-changing

I just listened to one episode and I’ve got to go back and listen with pen and paper in hand, there were so many gems of wisdom that Andy dropped. The episode was more than an hour long and during that time Andy was weird, nerdy, referenced pop culture but also got real, raw and vulnerable at times. This is a must listen if you have a creative business and things don’t feel shiny and new anymore

One of the best podcasts!! If you’re a creative and you’re so lost with your career, this is the podcast to listen to. Started listening to this because I feel so lost and uninspired lately, and this podcast helps me look at things in a different perspective. :)

Life-changing

I’m not exaggerating when I say that Creative Pep Talk changed my life. I started listening to CPT a couple years ago because I wanted to make money from my art. The podcast helped me do that but along the way I learned something even more important, the true value of my work. For years I made art primarily as a way to help myself but this podcast showed me that my work could actually help others. I shifted my mindset from seeing art as a selfish activity to a generous activity and I immediately saw the difference. In 5 months I got 15,000 new followers on Instagram but more importantly I saw the positive effect my art could have on others. This has been the most profound realization of my creative career and this podcast helped me get there. Andy helped me uncover my artistic voice, connect with my audience, and find the deeper value in my work. I can’t recommend this podcast highly enough. Life changing.

There I was, minding my own business, living my best life.... When I was scrolling through iTunes and a podcast popped up as a suggestion. Mind you, no one said I should give this a listen. I decided for myself to give this thing a shot. And can I just say: Life. Changed. I’ve never laughed during a commercial before this podcast. (YES, now I have.) Peps Me Up!

You know when you're heading home after a long day at work, wondering if this is all there is? Creative Pep Talk is the perfect pick-me-up! Andy is full of great advice, honesty, and motivation that makes every episode a delight to listen to and absolutely peps me up. His advice is accessible and actionable and that makes it all the better. Definitely my favourite motivational podcast, and I recommend it to everyone! Whether you consider yourself a creative or not, this podcast is an excellent listen.

Best Podcast In The World

I recommend this podcast to absolutely everyone as often as I can - mostly other creatives but I also think it's a great motivator and mood-booster for folks in a variety of livelihoods and industries. Finding this podcast and becoming an avid listener has had a large impact on my creative career, and has absolutely help buoy my feelings and attitudes about my work. It's a difficult, competitive, murky path and whenever I start feelign despondent or unsure where to focus my energy I know just who to listen to: DR. PIZZA! My main inspiration

The creative pep talk podcast has changed my life!! I don’t know where my career would be without it! I started off freelance illustrating as a side job, not knowing the potential that this could actually be a real career for me. This is the best podcast ever. This is the podcast that got me hooked on all podcasts, it is the first and always will be my favorite. All creatives should be listening to this!

Dr. Pizza has a PhD in pizza consuming, discussing, and general appreciation. But more importantly, Doc Pizza is a creative who understands creatives. His episode “17 Ways to Tap into your Creative Joy...” really helped me as a writer to feel more comfortable in my own brain and allow myself to push down the towering shadow looming over me to constantly perform and be the best in my group or be appreciated for my work. He shares realistic tactics to help you shed old perceptions of artistic performance and be comfortable taking your own path. Give it a listen- he’ll make you laugh, cry, want to get creative again, AND order a large stuffed crust pizza with extra peppers. Thank you Doc Pizza!

I so believe that some of the best creative content has yet to be made. It would be an absolute shame for the world to miss someone's unique creativity because they didn't think it was possible to pursue a creative career. Thank you Andy so much for all the pepperoni you pack into your podcasts every week - I can't wait for Wednesdays to rock around in NZ and when I see the little Creative Peptalk episode pop up on my phone - I literally light up and can't wait to find a window in my day to sit down and soak it all in. You have so many fantastic ideas and such an energetic and entertaining way of delivering these - I smile and laugh out loud occasionally on my walks with my dog with my earbuds in and can't wait to get back to my desk to do something creative! Pepperoni for life!

There is really no words to describe how much this podcast means to me. I look forward to it every week and it really sets the tone for my creative work. I love Andy's honesty, silly humor, and authenticness that he brings every week. It's insightful with real tips that you can apply to your creative life and its also therapeutic to know that as illustrators, we're not alone in how we feel and view the world. If you are pursuing a creative life for a living then there is no doubt you need to be listening to this podcast.

My Pizza Gandalf

I am so grateful for this podcast as a recently graduated illustrator who is feeling a bit lost and overwhelmed. Andy does such an incredible job at giving encouragement and advice. His words are so motivating and inspiring, and also just super comforting and relatable! The thing I love most about this podcast is that Andy is so genuine about both the ups and downs of a creative career. I’ve listened to great interviews with artists talk about their past trials, but as Andy himself has said, it’s hard to relate because at that point they are finished with that struggle, and are at a totally different stage than me. Andy keeps it so real, and truly remembers the different stages of his own path and reminds the listener that he understands and relates. He is open about his own ongoing struggles too. It is so unbelievably refreshing to me. Andy is also the wizard of analogies and I freaking love it! He makes things click and it’s just brilliant and super fun. This podcast always makes me laugh and gets me so excited to make new things and be the best creator I can be! Basically, I can’t express enough how much I adore this podcast. Thank you so, so much Andy!!!

So inspiring and helpful!

I cannot stop listening. I am in love. I'm so grateful that this exists! I find it so hard for creatives to explain what they do and how they do it cause there really aren't any rules. So this was super helpful. Each episode is so packed with such inspiring and practical content! It makes you want to work harder and be the best version of yourself! Keep it up, Andy!!!
